Consultation Services...

There are numerous reasons why a business or individual might hire a consultant. I utilize a systemic approach. What this means is that although the bottom-line is important, it is only one piece of the puzzle. In fact, the bottom-line is often a symptom of the problem, not the problem itself. I will evaluate the systems, i.e. team members, department, division, and/or entire organization, to help your business reach its bottom-line goals and organizational potential. Each consultation will end with a full written report, including evaluations and recommendations. As a consultant, I am also available to aid the organization in fulfilling the recommendations, eg. teach skills to improve employee relations via lectures and seminars. Below are just a few applications:

International Church Consultation. As former missionaries, my husband and I had the opportunity to assess and consult with international churches as well as a national movement, while guiding them in the growth process. I have a passion for seeing churches thrive and develop fully devoted followers of Christ. Services may include consulting with the pastor, completing personality and spiritual gifts inventories of congregation members, speaking on various topics, and report. You will obtain the support of a team of experts when you hire me as an international consultant.

Small Business Consultation. Being involved in small business myself, I understand the potential problems a business owner can face. Perhaps you have an employee who you don't understand, or you have noticed your profits dropping. Hire me as your business consultant. From a relationship perspective, I will provide your employees with firsthand information on personality types, how to get along in the workplace, and increase potential earnings for the business.

School Consultation. If you are an administrator who understands the value of teamwork amongst your teachers, call me to set up a seminar on personalities in the workplace. I am also available to provide seminars and lectures to PTA and other groups in your school on parenting and other school related issues.

There are several purposes for which one might hire a consultant. It could be for a one-off event, or a continuing assessment. If you have further questions about whether this service applies to you, please feel free to contact me by phone (321) 278-0124.

Supervision Services...

Clinical supervision as defined here primarily involves weekly sessions with counselors and professional therapists for the purpose of working toward licensure or moving forward in a particularly difficult case. Supervision occurs one-on-one or in small group settings for a set period of time. It involves elements of teaching, mentoring, directing, and assisting neophyte or advanced therapists providing individual, group, or marriage and family therapy. Supervision is not counseling, although confidentiality is upheld, and clients of supervisees will often benefit vicariously as a result of the supervisory sessions. Along with a variety of other issues, we will look at desicion trees for handling tough ethical situations, DSM IV-TR diagnosing, dealing with insurance companies, and treatment planning. Lucinda is a

Qualified Supervisor

for both

LMHC and LMFT

in the State of Florida. A supervisee enters into a contractual agreement for a desired length of time, establishes a set of goals, and obtains supervision hours while working toward state licensure (if needed). Group supervision is also available upon request.

Supervision for Licensure. If you are a counseling intern, a recent graduate of a Master's in Counseling program, or a Registered Intern in counseling, you need clinical supervision hours. It is not only helpful, it is mandatory according to Florida Law. We will establish goals in our first session together, based on your strenghts and weaknesses, and target the areas on which you want to focus during our time together. Periodic evaluations of both supervisee and supervisor (and the supervisory relationship) will help us stay on track with those goals.

Supervision of Supervision, or in the case of feeling "stuck". The need for supervision does not stop with licensure. We all know the stress counseling others can place on an individual. A qualified supervisor can help a therapist sort through ways to help others more effectively. In addition to supervising novice therapists, I am also available for the more seasoned therapist who feels "stuck" in a particular case. Supervision of supervision (known as "supe-of-supe") is also beneficial, particularly if you are just starting out as a supervisor. Although the Florida State licensure laws do not require ongoing supervision or "supe-of-supe", this is a mandate in many other places. I believe it is a good practice to follow.
